Martin Drive Neighborhood always celebrates Night-Time Trick or Treating on the Friday in October closest to Halloween. "Over half of the community participates, coming together and donating, time and lots of candy to stage an event that kids fondly remember for years..., possibly a lifetime" said Pat Mueller, a long time resident.
Registration fee is $1 per child (pay via envelope/mail slot with the McKinley address below) with a donation of 1 bag of candy (300 pieces, per every 2 children registered). What does Halloween in the Martin Drive Neighborhood look like?

The regstration helps create a safe event for everyone, therefore we do not disclose the trick or treating area ahead of time. Packets will go out to all the homes in the Martin Drive Neighborhood. Homes that are in the Trick or Treating area will also be notified that it is their turn in this annual event.
Martin Drive always holds the event on the Friday closest to Halloween. Washington Heights holds their trick or treat on the Saturday closest to Halloween.
This ensures that we have available officers, auxiliary police, and explorers.
Description: Martin Drive Neighborhood Presents "Spooktacular” Annual Night-Time Trick-Or-Treat is always the last Friday in October. An adult must register the family for trick-or-treat. Registrations will not be taken from children. We are asking each family to do the following:
1. Contribute $1 per child registered, and donate a bag of candy (300 pieces or more per 2 children).
2. Volunteer your services if at all possible. (safety monitor, deliver supplies, and help with registration on any of the dates, TBA)
3. Teens, we could really use your help, please see us at the registration site (TBA). Adult must register teen volunteers.
THIS EVENT IS FOR RESIDENT CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN ONLY. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE REGISTERED AND ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
